Our coordinator will be happy to provide information on nearby hotels, entertainment options, and restaurants so that you and your attendees have the best experience possible. AM rentals: 7:30am-4:30pm Building open by 7am. Requests for an earlier opening time may be considered, but will require an additional fee. Renters will not be allowed to meet after 5pm without making arrangements at time of scheduling. An additional fee of $100will be applied to the bill if event extends past 5pm without prior approval.
PM rentals: 5pm-11pm Event must end by 11pm and clean-up must be completed by midnight. An additional fee of $100 will be charged for event or clean-up activity extending past midnight.

Birthday Parties
What better place to go wild on your birthday than the Anniston Museum of Natural History?
Birthday parties are a benefit of Museum Membership.
Enjoy … a visit to seven exciting exhibit halls, including the hands-on children’s discovery room- NatureSpace. Walk on the nature trails, including the Bird of Prey trail with live raptors, and party like a wild animal with your friends.
Description … 2-hour classroom rental. A Museum classroom is reserved for you and your guest. Tables and chairs are included. Plan to set-up and clean up within these hours. Admission for up to 15 party visitors are included in the rental fee. You may purchase more admission passes for a discounted fee of $3/person. (Members are free). If you need more time at the Museum, finish your party, clean up and then take your guest into the Exhibit Halls. The Museum is open until 5pm.
How to schedule … Contact the Community Services Coordinator at 256-237-6766 x 116, or by email, edspecialist@annistonmuseum.org. Birthdays must be booked at least two weeks in advance, and earlier if possible. As there are only three opportunities in any given week to schedule a birthday party, it is wise to secure your date as soon as possible. Anniston Museum does not “hold” dates. Slots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis; payment confirms your reservation. In the event of a cancellation or an un-booked slot, Anniston Museum may be able to schedule a reservation with less than two weeks notice. However these situations are dealt with on a case-by-case basis, and no guarantee of accommodation can be made. Payment may be made during regular business hours after you have pre-scheduled your party with the Community Services Coordinator. Payment confirms reservation and is non-refundable! Visa/MC, cash or personal check with ID. Please note: the option of adding a live animal programs is available only for Saturday parties. We are unable to provide the live animal option on Sundays.
Fees … $100 non-refundable deposit to secure your date. This includes 15 guests (child or adult) passes. $3/person admission to exhibit halls for additional guests. Members are free. Payment must be made when scheduling the party. For an even more memorable day, consider adding a 20 minute live animal presentation to your child's party for an additional $25. (Live animal option available for Saturday parties only.)

Maximum of 40 people may be invited due to space available
in the party room.
Parties are available for ages 4 -grade 6
Parties are scheduled on Saturdays in 2 hour blocks.
10:30-12:30pm or 1:30-3:30pm, and now also on
Sunday afternoons, from 2-4pm only.
One adult must be present for every 10 children.
Table and chairs for 25 are provided as well as a food table.
Extra chairs provided if needed.
Decorations may be placed on tables or the floor only.
All decorations must be removed at the end of your
scheduled event. The Museum will not be held liable for
loss or damage to property.
The Museum reserves the right to levy additional charges
for careless damage to Museum property.
An ice maker and refrigerator/freezer is available
upon request.

What to do when you arrive….
Check in at the Admissions desk when you arrive. Security will unlock the classroom for you and your guest. When you check in you will be given 15 stickers for Exhibit Hall admission. Each member of the party must have a birthday party sticker. You may purchase additional stickers at anytime during the party. Distribute these stickers to your guests and inform them that they must wear the stickers in order to gain access to the exhibit halls.
Souvenir Gift Bags
Please your party guest with souvenir gift bags from the Museum Store. For details on gift bag contact the Museum Store Manager at 256-237-6766 ext 112. This is a separate fee. Not included in deposit.
